A blend of paint and charcoal. I had the idea of the hair first to mix between the marks mad of charcoal and the lines of paint. Her eyes, lips, and earrings are painted gold and give a shimmer and connection when passed or looked at from different angels.

I just had the thought of going after the idea of charcoal on top of a painted background. I the idea was to make it look as if an artist was sketching a drawing for a future painted on a discarded canvas.
